Path to Adventures Story...

Al and Heather Wolfenden opened Path to Adventure in 2017. After a long career of almost 20 years in the outdoors they decided that it was time to go solo. Having worked for many outdoor companies and organisations over the years, they felt they had the knowledge and know-how to start and run a successful business.

They have worked with several distinguished organisations and charities such as the Outward Bound Trust, The Children's Society and Christie's of London. Previous clients include Bear Grylls, Airbus, Maersk, BAE  Systems, Jacobs, GSK and the All Blacks!

Their vision was to create both high-quality and memorable experiences for clients.

Path to Adventure is now proud to offer exciting adventures and help you make magic memories.

What our clients say about us...

"Al. Thank you for an amazing afternoon abseiling in and around Cathedral Cavern. We all had a fabulous time. For anyone else reading this, I can thoroughly recommend Al at Path to Adventure. He was the ultimate outdoor event professional, whilst also being warm and friendly. He has a lovely manner, quickly gauging everyone’s skills and seamlessly adapting his instructing accordingly, catering for all levels and ages. He shares his local knowledge adding extra interest to your day.'

"Fantastic company! Firstly, The communication with Path to Adventure team was fantastic and they were very accommodating. I was organizing a group booking so I often had to be in touch regarding the group's various questions and the response was always fast and professional. I spoke to a few companies and Path to Adventure stood out to me above others with their communication, offer of service and competitive prices. On the day, we had a really friendly and nice instructor who was extremely good at managing a group with different abilities and confidence. He was very relaxed and made us all feel comfortable with the challenge.
I really recommend this company for your adventures. I will be booking again."

Laura Thomas

"We did 2 excursions with Path to Adventure. The first was beginners rock climbing for my 12 and 15-year-olds. We had Adam as a guide who fully explained everything, made us feel safe and looked after and most importantly made the trip great fun. My boys will definitely be rock climbing again in the future. The second excursion was Ghyll Scrambling with Heather as a guide. All 4 of us participated and absolutely loved it! We had so much fun climbing waterfalls and jumping into pools. Heather was also excellent. I highly recommend Path to Adventure for anyone visiting the Lake District."

Marianne Powell

"My daughter and I went on a rock climbing beginner course. Adam the instructor was fantastic and really supportive throughout. In our morning session, my daughter was able to complete the beginner, intermediate and advanced parts of the rock face (for her age - 7 yr old). We both loved it and she wants to continue rock climbing — all thanks to Adam’s guidance. I would highly recommend this company to anyone."
