Information about current water levels

We still have water in our ghylls! Making sure you have the best experience is important to us so here's some information on the current water levels in our ghylls so you can book with confidence:

We are still running the majority of our Ghyll Scrambles:

Church Beck - This keeps its water nicely even in drought conditions. It is fed by Levers water up in the Coniston hills and the level is dam controlled. This means there are good flowing waterfalls, water in the stream bed and plenty of pools to jump and swim in.

Esk Gorge - The water level is good even in full summer conditions. Waterfalls are lower but still freely flowing and all the pools keep good levels so you can swim and jump to your hearts content!

Netherbeck - The water is lower in here in dry summer conditions however due to the many bogs and streams higher up feeding this ghyll, it keeps a steady lower water level, with waterfalls still flowing and all a good level in all of its pools.

Stickle Ghyll - For this week we have closed bookings for Stickle Ghyll. This is the one venue we use that dries up quite alot. All but the bigger waterfalls cease to flow and the main river bed is dry in areas. We are forecast rain at the end of the week so we will reasses then, bookings are currently open from the 27th July. If the rainfall is enough we will run Stickle next week or we will divert to Coniston. We will be in touch if we need to relocated any sessions.
