The Lake District has always been popular venue to visit to do watersports. Canoeing is a fabulous way to explore the famous lakes and enjoy the magnificent scenery.

 

Go Canoeing on Lake Windermere or Coniston Water

We guide full, half day trips and expeditions in Canadian Canoes. We also offer canoe coaching and white water river trips and guiding. You'll be guided by an experienced instructor who will equip you with everything you need to have a safe and amazing adventure.

 

Canoeing for everyone

Families, friends, large groups, Stag parties and Hen parties.  We'll tailor the day to suit your group - whether its a fun day of games, exploring and splashing with the whole family or a scenic journey of the whole lake, stopping along the way to take in the magnificent views.

What we offer:

We offer Canoeing to families, couples, large groups and Stag Parties and Hen Parties. The sessions will be tailored to your individual requirements. Prices are based on numbers in your group. Discounts for large groups!

Our sessions are bespoke and are often just you and your party. During busy periods you may be part of a larger group. If you would prefer a private session just let us know and we will accommodate you if we possibly can at no extra cost. We keep our ratios of instructor to client low so you can have a fabulous and safe experience.

Please note: All under 18's must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Choose from the following range of options:

Half day Canoe

Canoeing on Coniston Water - Improve your technique, enjoy the views and explore the places your can't get to by foot such as Peel Island on Coniston Water from the book Swallows and Amazons.

Allow up to 3 hours

Full day Canoe

Canoeing on Lake Windermere or Coniston Water - Spend a leisurely day canoeing and exploring a large part of one of the Lake Districts famous lakes and discover the hidden coves and islands. Have your packed lunch on a beach or stop off at a local bistro. Take a stroll along the lakeside and even stop off for a swim if your feeling brave!

 

Optional extra: Lunch catered. Enjoy a special Picnic in a scenic spot. Add some bubbly for that extra special occasion.

 

Allow up to 6 hours

Spend a few days canoeing and exploring the whole length of Lake Windermere.  Stop off along the lake and spend the evening camping under the stars by the Lake shore.

Canoe Expedition

Canoeing Lake Windermere - Enjoy 2 days canoeing the length of Lake Windermere - the longest lake in England. Explore the many bays and islands and camp out under the stars by the side of the lake.

Sunset Canoe

Enjoy an evening paddle on Lake Winderemere or Coniston Water and watch as the Sun goes down over the mountains. Park your canoes on the lake shore where we will enjoy a Steak dinner cooked over an open fire.

Allow up to 3 - 4 hours (start times vary with sunsets) Prices start from £70 per person. (Based on 4 people ) Minimum booking of 2 people.

Explore Coniston Water by Canoe, visiting the islands and beaches. Stop off to learn fire lighting skills and knife skills and cook on a open fire. Check out our  Bushcraft  page for more info.

What to wear:

Warm clothes and trainers that you don't mind getting wet and a spare change of clothes. Bring snacks and lunch if you are with us for a full day.

 

Prices:

Prices from £45 pp for a half day and from £72 pp for a full day. Sunset canoeing as priced above. Discounts are available for large groups. Combine a canoe with another activity to make the most of your adventure or spend a few days with us and see more of what the Lake District has to offer.
