Thornthwaite is a traditional Lakeland family run farm, set amidst the beautiful scenery of the Woodland Valley, known as one of the “Three Jewels of Lakeland” immortalised by Wordsworth, located in the Southern Fells of the Lake District in Cumbria. 

We have five self-catering holiday cottages sleeping between 2 and 6 people, they include our 4 Star Gold Award barn conversion with stunning views of the Lake District fells, and our hand crafted 4 Star Gold Award Log Cabin, with views across the valley and ancient woodland. (Extract from website)

Avondale bungalow is situated in the beautiful village of Staveley which sits nestled amongst the hills on the river Kent and is just 7 minutes walk from Staveley station. With transport links nearby, Avondale is an ideal base to explore the Lake District National Park. Staveley itself is a bustling village with a selection of local and unusual shops - Artisan bakeries and cafe, Health and Holistic shops, a large bike shop and a good local pub.

Lands End Cottage

Set in the peaceful Rusland Valley, between Windermere and Coniston, Lands End Cottage is a two bedroomed, two bathroomed cottage that is finished to a very high standard and offers great quality in a stunning location. Neighbouring Grizedale Forest, with Hawkshead and Coniston within easy reach and a myriad of local walks to choose from it is an ideal base to explore the lakes. Dogs are welcome as long as they can cope with our very free-range hens and sheep in neighbouring fields.

Lowick School Bunkhouse, Near Ulverston

Sleeps up to 22 guests.

Lowick School Bunkhouse offers fantastic group accommodation in the Lake District.


The bunkhouse has 22 beds in 3 rooms (1 x 10, 1 x 8 + 1 x 4) plus a lounge/meeting room with wood-burning stove, a fab kitchen-dining room, great views of the mountains, an outdoor area with campfire and more!

Howgills Barn, Sedbergh

Sleeps up to 35 guests.

Located on 5 private acres with a stunning backdrop of the Howgill fells, our Barn provides group accommodation for up to 35 guests. 


There are 8 en-suite bunk rooms for you to enjoy as well as a large, open-plan living and dining area to socialise and unwind. An upstairs snug with Sky TV provides a quieter space to enjoy. There are 2 commercial kitchens kitted with everything you'll need to cater for your group. We also work with local chefs who will come onsite and cook you homemade pizzas, tray bakes or fine dining. Outside there's a terrace with a hot tub, fire pit and a games field for activities and football.

Fairfield is a fabulous and spacious home nestled in the Cumbrian village of Eskdale Green.

This eight-bedroom house enjoys a contemporary interior with Jerusalem stone flooring, light and airy rooms and views of the beautiful countryside.

Howgills House, Sedbergh

Sleeps up to 28 guests.

Offering 12 en-suite twin and double rooms. There's a lounge with log fire, dining room, snug and commercial kitchen. Outside there's a games room with pool table, ping pong, darts and a pizza oven. 


There are two undercover hot tubs looking across the countryside. We also work with local chefs who will come onsite and cook you home-made pizzas, tray bakes or fine dining.

This magnificent, detached farmhouse, with its own private leisure centre, is set in five acres of its own grounds on a high hillside above the Lune Valley, just three and a half miles from Sedbergh and ten miles from Kirkby Lonsdale.
