The Lake District is famous for being the birthplace of rock climbing in Britain. It offers a huge variety of options to suit everyone. Our qualified and experienced instructors will be there to coach you and show you the ropes!
Rock climbing venues
Venues we use are around the Langdale, Coniston, Ulverston and Western Lakes area in the Lake District but if you have somewhere specific in mind please contact us.
Climbing for all
Family rock climbing, beginner rock climbing, Stag & Hen Parties or a rock climbing guide for the day - we offer climbing for all levels and abilities; just let us know what you would like from your experience.
Experience Rock climbing
Spend a half day learning to climb or improving your skills. We will teach you the fundamentals of movement, rope skills and staying safe whilst climbing. Mix climbing with another activity for a full day of fun and adventure.

Adventurers Rock climbing
Book a whole day adventure. Drive over the famous Wrynose or Hard Knott Pass and park at its highest point. Then walk 25 minutes to a altitude of 500 metres where you'll be met with spectacular views of the grand central mountains. Perched on the side of the slope is one of the Lake Districts finest Crags where you'll be rewarded with some amazing Rock climbing.

Advanced Climbing & Scrambling
We can provide a Lake District Climbing guide for the day. You may want to learn or improve your rope work or be guided on some of the Lakes classic routes or scrambles. We will discuss your requirements/goals with you and plan a day with your guide to suit. We can take you to a specific venue if you have one in mind or you can choose a venue to suit what you would like from your day.
All our Lake District climbing guides are friendly, experienced and well qualified and have knowledge of all the popular routes and scrambles.

What to wear:
Sturdy trainers, boots or rock shoes to climb in, suitable comfortable clothing for mountain weather. Bring snacks and lunch if you are with us for a full day.
Prices from £45 pp for a half day and from £72 pp for a full day. Discounts are available for larger groups. Combine a climb with another activity to make the most of your adventure or spend a few days with us and see more of what the Lake District has to offer.
